2014 Recap~

          Happy 2015!!!

 {she says, hoping nobody realizes how much of a slacker-blogger she was in 2014}

Well it IS a new year so I'm going to forgive myself and move forward... I had a good reason for the drop off in posts; I ran my first half marathon this past fall and the training schedule was TOUGH! Not so tough that you should be discouraged if you're contemplating running one yourself though (DO IT!) Okay, enough about that...

2014 was so good to me, in way too many ways to list, but I'd love to show you some highlights:

Winning this local contest meant everything to me. I was up against some amazing, long-time-established bakeries and cake decorators, which made the victory that much SWEETER!!

This cake was made for my friend and local party planner, Missy of Sweetly Chic Events. Gold was huge this year, as you'll notice in some of the following photos.

fondant toppers for an Operation Shower event. (more on that later)

I had so much fun monkeying around with this cake.

I think I already shared this with you guys, but it deserves another mention~ "Hi Tori Spelling!!"

This grooms cake...I pretty much had free range over the design of this one, and had way too much fun sculpting this military man's hobbies and passions out of fondant.

Oh, hello!!  That's me, volunteering at my first Operation Shower event. A great charity that throws beautiful baby showers for military families whose husbands are deployed during mama's pregnancy.

Operation Shower has so many supporters and is always happy to accept donations. Here I am with the crew from last summer's Jersey City shower, and the celebrity hosts...yes, that's the Kardashian sisters!!

A small peek at the table I designed for another shower, with a "cute as a button" theme.

A relaxing dinner after a long, fun day of setting up the baby shower space.

A few of the guys from Carlo's Bakery (and me!!)

Okay, back to baking... Dinosaur cookies for my creative friends at Anders Ruff

Cupcake toppers for my photographer's sweet little mermaid's birthday party.

How fun are these cookies I made to coordinate with Little Hip Squeeks summer line...cutest baby clothes ever!!

Awww, one of my favorites from last year~ I made these to celebrate THE cutest couple, my niece, Christie and her fiance, Cem! xo
These fondant flowers and succulants went on the engagement cake. I wish I could make fondant flowers all day long {sigh}.

One of my proudest moment last year; being featured in Cake Masters Magazine... I'm still thinking they made a mistake and put my photo in by accident (shhh, I won't tell them if you don't).

I worked with the sweetest photographer on this shoot. If you're anywhere near the Phila. area (she travels) look up Rebekah Pillmore at Pill Photography~ you will LOVE her!!!

I made these swan cookies for my sweet friend, Dorangela of Two Prince Bakery Theater. she planned the sweetest baby shower for her sister, and it was featured on Pop Sugar!!

By far my largest and shiniest cake of the year, this photo doesn't do it justice. ;)

One of my most favorite shops for party supplies- Shop Sweet Lulu

These cookies were made for Cristy of Pretty My Party. Head over and see how she used them in the cutest little Christmas party shoot for another one of my favorites, The Land of Nod!!

Well that's it in a nut shell... I hope it was worth the wait..... HEY, WAIT!!!
one....more....photo.....

woohoo~ SO worth it!!!!
