Happy Valentine's Day to you!
On the topic of LOVE...I have been smitten with the look of ombre ever since I first layed eyes on this ruffled beauty at Anthropologie.
I have had the idea for this cookie in the back of my mind for a while now. Instead of using a traditional ruffling technique, I thought I'd try a more crafty technique... as in Kindergarten crafts~remember sticking tissue paper squares on the end of a pencil, dipping it in glue then sticking it on construction paper?
That's how I use to make my mom's Valentine's Day cards and I really thought I was an artist!!!
I decided to give it a try with fondant squares and I must say, I LOVE how it turned out! {I still think I am an artist~ hee hee!}

Maybe that book "Everything I Ever Needed to Know I Learned in Kindergarten" was right after all! Great idea with the fondant squares. :-)
